Introduction

Come to Shri Shiv Khori with your family. It is a holy cave in Reasi, Jammu & Kashmir. The cave is about 4.0 km from Ransoo, the base camp. From Ransoo, you walk on a clear hill path to the cave.Inside, you will see a natural Shivji Maharaj Lingam, about 4 feet high.
On the stone walls, you will also see many natural shapes. Devotees feel these shapes show the 33 crore deities of our Hindu faith. The place feels calm, pure, and full of Mahadev’s blessings.

How to reach Ransoo (base camp):
Jammu → Ransoo via Katra: 129 km
Jammu → Ransoo via Akhnoor–Bhambla: 112 km
Reasi → Ransoo: 57 km

You must Choose the route that suits you according to your need. If you also plan Vaishno Devi, go via Katra. If you want the shorter drive, go via Akhnoor–Bhambla. Park at Ransoo, then walk to the cave.To look after devotees, a board was made. In 2003, the Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board started. The Deputy Commissioner of Udhampur was the head, and the SDM of Reasi was the secretary. On 11th February 2008, the J&K Assembly passed a new law called “Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Act, 2008”. This law helps to keep Shivkhori shrine clean, safe, and helps to mange it properly.
